Lots of celiac information

Diane Jacobs

We had the opportunity to make the Sunday Pancake with Raspberry Sauce for a group meeting and I used your notes to save time and I had some homemade blackberry jelly that I diluted a bit and warmed in the microwave to top the pancake and it was WONDERFUL! Everyone raved about this recipe.

Thank you again for your generosity and kindness in providing a cookbook for us to review. I think you have a winner! And I am looking forward to trying more of your recipes.

Have a wonderful GF day!

"My desire was to create cookbooks that could aid in making gluten free cooking a positive and rewarding experience. In the process. There should be nothing missing in what can be created in the kitchen for a celiac or someone desiring to cook gluten free. The selection of recipes in my cookbooks cover the gamut of cooking from recipe basics in all categories: quick and easy offerings, a diverse kid’s selection, generous breads and desserts , a vast assortment of casseroles and main dishes, soups, salads, and side dishes, breakfast or brunch recipes, American classics, as well as ethnic and gourmet offerings."

As a nutritionist, I am discovering more and more of my clients with gluten sensitivities.I have recently found Diane's cookbook to be a tremendous help when people ask what can they eat. It serves as a
reliable, yet simple guide to help people who just don't know where to begin with a gluten free lifestyle. Her added awareness about the tendency for folks who are removing gluten from their diets to head straight to the non-GMO foods is very important information! The recipes in her book are delicious and the tips and extra information that is included in the special insert pages make it a really fun read as well!“

"Our customers love your cookbook! Because your book is near the check out area, we are interested to hear what people have to say as they browse through your book . They are always commenting on how good the recipes look. But what is really great to hear, is when the people that purchased your book return to our store, raving about how great the recipes actually are when actually prepared. I really felt that you should hear this wonderful feedback!
~Deanne D. Manager/Old Stage Stop Country Store (Williamson Valley), Prescott, AZ

When I bought your cookbook, I actually cried when I saw the lefse potato bread recipe. It is a family tradition that my dad makes us a batch of lefse each Christmas. Well, this last Christmas Dad took sick and died a few days after Christmas. As we cleaned out his apartment, there was the lefse he had made for us! It was made of wheat flour, of course, but it was very tempting to eat a small piece. I managed to resist since I am gluten intolerant. But on dad's birthday last April, I made your lefse recipe and it turned out great! Thank you so much for creating this recipe!”

“I just wanted to share that this cookbook is becoming one of my favorites very quickly!
I made the Baked Sunday Pancake with Raspberry Sauce for a celiac support group meeting and it was a BIG hit. Yesterday, I made the Strawberry-Shortcake Cheesecake to take to dinner at a friend's house and we all thought it was WONDERFUL! Both of these were quite easy and so good that I can't wait to try something else in this cookbook!”

"At last, gluten free cookbooks with yummy recipes that actually taste good! I found t hese recipes easy to follow and are loaded with helpful hints, a Godsend for the gluten free cook! I have gotten raves from my wheat-eating friends who had no idea that they were eating gluten free when I prepared some of Diane's recipes. I have tried several GF cookbooks but these are by far the best for getting consistently great results. The Oriental Lemon Chicken is fantastic!  The recipe for Walnut-Herb Bread is a true artisan masterpiece that will have everyone (gluten free or not) fighting for the last slice! I made the Snowball Cookies as gifts for my family during the holidays and they are asking me to send more!

~Tammy K., owner of "That's It! Gluten Free Baking", Prescott, Arizona

"I am gluten free for going on four months now.  I very recently stayed at a bed and breakfast in Prescott, AZ and after telling the owner I was gluten free she made the Caramel-Apple Skillet Cake from Diane’s cookbook.  No one knew other than my husband and myself that it was gluten free and everyone raved about it.  I immediately bought  Diane's cookbook: "The Farmer's Daughter Cooks Gluten Free", and have made a couple recipes already. The cookbook helped de-mystify gluten free cooking for me; it was simple and even fun! I would recommend this cookbook to anyone desiring to go gluten free ."
